For the foundation portfolio, the post production process is everything after shooting.
Explain how you decided what photographs you were going to use. How were they edited? What particular tools did you use to create the effect that you were looking for? Make sure to be specific with the tools that you used!
LEVELS, CURVES, SIZE, RETOUCHING ETC.
Post production for the trailer is..
What editing decisions were made? How did they inform the production? What particular editing tools were used and to what effect? How did the post production process enhance the overall production?
Uploading, editing, sizing, effects including slowing down or quickening up; music, titles, transitions, sound effects, dialogue, narrative, rendering, still frames.
AGAIN! You need to be specific.. For example how you used the razor tool in Premiere Pro to edit the length of clips.
Questions to Answer:
- How much of your text was 'created' in post-production?
- What technologies did you use to modify your raw material? How did this change the meaning of your work?
- What transitions/ effects did you apply during post-production? How did you manipulate narrative/ colours/ lighting/ contrast/ brightness/ sound etc during the edit?
- How much of your footage ended up 'on the cutting room floor' and why?
